UNLOADING THE GALLOPING GOOSE NOVEMBER 9, 2008 |
I left Springfield Missouri around noon on Saturday and kept driving as long as I was able. Other than a 2-hour rest stop in western Maryland, I just kept driving. With 1100 miles behind me, I arrived home around 8 AM. |

| HONEY I'M HOME - and here's our new Galloping Goose! |
WELCOME HOME HONEY - Charlotte was delighted with our new aquisition. |
ENGINE STAND - BEFORE - It had a long steel track on top, but I wanted to change the stand slightly to fit in the garage better. |
ENGINE STAND - AFTER - The ten-foot-long track will serve as an unloading ramp. It fit nicely into the 2x4's. |
| OUT OF THE VAN - the Goose is carefully pulled out with a length of chain. |
IS THE RAMP STRONG ENOUGH? - I sure hope so, 'cause here we go! |
LOW ANGLE SHOT - basking in the warm Maryland sunshine. |
| SAFELY ON THE STAND - And it fits very nicely. |

A PLACE TO CALL HOME - The Galloping Goose fits nicely between the golf cart and the lawnmower. We'll try it on the track later this week. Meanwhile I need to get some sleep! |
