Ties are cut from 2x6 treated lumber, rip cut once to make 1.5 x 2.5 inch pieces, mounted upright.
Following data is for building a No. 6 turnout with rails 10 feet long, ties spaced every 4 inches.
Measurements start at the point end of the turnout, with tie centerlines at 4 inches each.
