G SCALERS PICNIC JUNE 26, 2011

IN THE CLEAR - Now they're out in the bright sunshine.  It was a very pleasant day, a little sun, mostly cloudy, no rain, and high in the low 80's.

FIRST IN LINE - Art and Peggy were the first to arrive.  Here their train is pulling uphill out of the woods.

IN FULL SWING - By now the party is in full swing.  Most everyone toward the front is a G scaler, and in the back is our neighbor and some of Charlotte's friends.

BELLA THE HOSTESS - A few minutes later, many of the guests had arrived and Bella greeted all of them.  She didn't beg much but was "available" for snacks.

THIS IS FUN - Karl is in the back driving his granddaughter around the railroad.

NEIGHBORLY - Our neighbor Marcia is all smiles - can you blame her?

A GIFT FROM MARCIA - Marcia and her grandson Tony gave me a wonderful gift - a conductor's cap in mint condition.

THE CONDUCTOR IS THE ENGINEER - and he's giving a ride to Charlotte's high-school friend Yvonne.  She had a wonderful time today.

WHO'S GOT THE RIGHT OF WAY? - Jane figures that Lee and Mary will be through the intersection long before she gets there - but he won't make it that simple! Charlotte is on board taking the picture and Bella is following Charlotte around.

MAY I SEE YOUR LICENSE AND REGISTRATION - Lee has Jane a little befuddled - after all, this is the first time she's ever driven a train - or met this character!
