| SURPRISE! We were expecting our friends Doug and Jeanne, but lo and behold, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus showed up at the door! They're posing in front of the fir tree near our front door. We had about 2 inches of snow the day before. | A GOLF CART INSTEAD OF A SLEIGH - I guess sometimes the reindeer need a day off but Santa still needs to get around. So a golf cart will do. There's room in the back for a bag of toys, plus it can pull a trailer full of toys as well. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| A LOAD OF BIG TOYS - There's a camelback locomotive on the trailer and its tender on the back of the cart. Big toys for big boys! | |||||||||||||||||||||
| PINEY MEETS SANTA AND MRS CLAUS - He's over 20 years old, so he may have seen Santa before, but not riding a golf cart! | |||||||||||||||||||||
| DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW, IN A FOUR WHEEL CAMELBACK - Not as romantic as a one-horse open sleigh, but every bit as much fun! | OVER THE RIVER - The melting snow has turned the ditch into a major waterway, but the new bridge keeps the water from flooding over the tracks. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| STOPPED AT THE STATION - Santa would have ridden all day but we talked him into stopping at the site of Sunnyside Station and posing with Mrs. Claus. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| PUTTING THE TRAIN AWAY - Not into a box, but into the Calvert Central Train Shed, joining the Critter and the Galloping Goose. | |||||||||||||||||||||
