THUNDERSTORM
AUGUST 31, 2016
The Wednesday gang was here again for hot dogs, refreshments, trains, and fun.  There was
a 20 percent chance of rain, but we were hearing distant rumbles of thunder.  Someone looked
up the Weather Channel, and its radar view indicated a storm was brewing to our north.  A
couple guys started running trains a little earlier than usual, just to be sure. But the sky got
darker, the thunder got closer, and suddenly we were in the midst of a thunderstorm.  Top
priority was to get the trains under cover, next priority get the crew under cover, then it was a
dash for the cars.  Everybody got wet, but nobody got stuck in the mud, and it all turned out OK.
